All the materials I use in my class are below. These are referral links so please use them to order. This will help me provide materials for the free classes that I conduct from time to time and spread the joy.
Different Kinds of Paint
Start with a set of watercolors in pans or a set of tubes. Pans usually provide more colors variations and it makes it easier to learn color mixing. While tubes allow mixing a larger amount of paint to cover large areas. My favorite brands are QOR, Koi, White Nights & Van Gogh.
Over time you will acquire all sorts of brushes. These are 5 basic brushes that I use 95% of the time. Make sure to wash your brushes, point the tip with your fingers and let dry horizontally. Never ever leave your brushes in a wet cup - that will ruin the point on the brush & you won't be able to make fine thin strokes.
These markers are the best to have in your arsenal to spice up your watercolors.
To start your watercolor journey you can use just about any watercolor paper. Don't go for the cheapest. Canson, Arches, Strathmore are all great brands.
